The Poultry Association of Zambia will hold its Annual General Meeting on the 17th August 2018. This event will be held at Mulungushi international conference centre. The AGM is the highest policy making board of the association and attract all the poultry players along the value chain. This year’s theme is dubbed industry growth amid supply challenges. The AGM will attract presentation from a number of institutions such as the zambia national commercial bank who will highlight more on the financial products available for the farmers and tackle the financial literacy, the second presentation will be done by the Citizen Economic empowerment commission with the focus on financial packages available for the poultry farmers as well extent of the implementation of the poultry reservations scheme which is aimed at securing the livebird market for the local farmers. The third presentation will be done by BUPO Animal Health who will focus their presentation on the available on the market. The official opening will be done by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and key note will be done by the president Zambia National Farmers Union. This AGM is an elective one with the following positions available to be filled
1. PAZ National Chairperson
2. PAZ Treasurer
3. Allied industry chairperson
4. Hatcheries chairperson
5. Broiler Chairperson
All poultry farmers who are members of the association will be eligible to attend and vie for the above positions. The paid up members of the Association are those buying day old chicks from the following hatcheries: Ross Breeders, ZamHatch, and Tiger Chick.
