TIGER HOLDS A TRAINING FOR THE POULTRY FARMERS IN LUSAKA
In an effort to continue improving the skills of the poultry farmers on various aspects of poultry management, Tiger Chicks held training for the poultry farmers in Lusaka on the 28th June 2017. The guest speaker for this training was Mr. Mohsen Ganjae, who is a Technical Manager from Aviagen. Issues covered during the training included winter brooding management of the Indian River Breed (Tiger Chicks) and how to turn the poultry business into profitable venture. Other key issues touched during the training include bio-security issues, litter Management and costings. This training is part of the many trainings earmarked for poultry farmers in different districts. The farmers presented where informed on the benefits of adhering to the prescribed poultry management procedures to ensure that they can get the maximum benefits from the poultry farming. A total of 58 farmers attended the training. The Poultry Association of Zambia attended the event and wishes to encourage famers to attend such important trainings so that they can be equipped with the much needed technical know-how they need to manage the poultry business efficiently and effectively.
